Swedish body massage, Indian head massage, Hot stones massage. I am 62 years old and work from home. Most of my clientele are aged between 50 and 75 and are long term clients many of whom have become friends. When I was training I had both a mother and mother in law in warden accommodation and found myself practising on both them and other residents. I was keen to explore how massage can benefit more senior people especially through touch as for some older people they do not have much communication with people so having someone touch them through massage while also listening to them was important in their week and of course beneficial both physically and mentally. After qualifying I chose to stay with this age group and find it very rewarding.
