Welcome to Cranial & TMJ Level 2 - and thank you for joining us again after completing Level 1.

My hope for all this training is that you are able to develop your skills and understanding of this work so that you can really make a difference to all those people out there who suffer with symptoms related to jaw and head pain – there are many of them, most of whom are unable to get help. Let’s start to change that together!

This next stage of the journey at Level 2 is really about beginning to see the body more as a whole. Whilst we will still be focusing heavily on the cranium, jaw and the techniques that support this work, we will also start looking further into the wider body and the relationships between different areas. Rather than seeing the body as separate parts, we begin exploring how everything influences and adapts alongside everything else.

The online learning in this course is designed to help you start seeing more of this bigger picture. It is there to deepen your understanding and encourage you to think a little differently about the body and the people in front of you. We will explore anatomy and biomechanics in more depth, but also begin considering wider influences such as stress, emotion, adaptation and the interconnected nature of the human body, with a stronger emphasis on the jaw.

Some sections may feel quite anatomical or detailed at times, but please do not feel that you need to memorise everything. Do not get too bogged down in the detail. The purpose of this learning is not perfection or recall - it is simply to help you build understanding and begin developing a clearer way of thinking about relationships within the body.

As with Level 1, the theory is there to support the practical work. During the in-person training, we will continue developing practical skills and exploring how we approach people experiencing TMJ pain and cranial-related issues in a more integrated and individualised way.

Most importantly, allow yourself to stay curious. You do not need to have all the answers - this level is about exploration, observation, connection and beginning to trust your ability to think beyond isolated structures and symptoms.

Enjoy!
