Introduction to Fascial Bodywork Workshop

This practical one-day workshop introduces qualified therapists to the fascinating world of fascial bodywork.

Through a combination of introductory theory and extensive practical sessions, you will explore the fundamentals of the fascial system, experience a selection of techniques and begin to understand how fascial approaches can be incorporated into your existing treatments.

The workshop also serves as an excellent introduction to our Fascial Bodywork Diploma for those wishing to continue their learning.

During the workshop you will:

• Explore the fundamentals of the fascial system.
• Gain an introduction to different approaches to fascial bodywork.
• Learn how therapists can influence the fascial network through manual therapy.
• Experience a variety of practical fascial techniques.
• Discover ways of incorporating these techniques into your existing treatments.
• Develop a greater appreciation of fascia’s role in movement, communication, function and long-term change.

A short pre-course online learning module introduces the basic principles before the practical day.

Participants should hold:

• A recognised minimum Level 3 Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology qualification, and
• A minimum Level 3 Massage qualification

or be qualified in another suitable hands-on therapy such as Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Bowen Therapy or Acupuncture.

You should already be confident working hands-on with the whole body. If you are unsure whether your qualifications are suitable, please contact us to discuss your individual circumstances.

Students receive a Certificate of Attendance that can contribute towards their Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

The emphasis is on exploration, practical experience and developing an understanding of the principles that underpin Fascial Bodywork.

Students receive a Certificate of Attendance recognising participation in this introductory workshop.

This workshop is designed as an introduction and does not replace the more comprehensive training provided within the Fascial Bodywork Diploma.

Will I be able to call myself a Myofascial Release/Fascial Bodywork Practitioner after this training?

We are very keen to promote high standards of training and so, although you will be able to incorporate some of the techniques we learn on this introductory day into your current treatments, we strongly advocate that you do not advertise as a specialist! It takes lots more learning and practice, as well as understanding, to be able to provide a specialist treatment and no matter how good the teacher, it is impossible to learn all these skills in one day!
