The pelvis plays a key role in the body’s structural alignment, influencing movement, posture, and balance throughout the kinetic chain. When the function of the pelvis is compromised, it can lead to far-reaching issues – from low back pain to altered gait and persistent soft tissue discomfort. That’s why a deeper understanding of the pelvis and hip is essential for any therapist working holistically with clients.
Join us for this focused Functional Body Series workshop where we explore the detailed functional anatomy of the pelvis and hip. Together we’ll examine common clinical presentations such as:
You’ll learn to assess and address these conditions through a blend of structural understanding, movement analysis, and hands-on techniques including advanced sports massage techniques – all within the wider context of Pain Science and the Biopsychosocial Model of care. We also explore functional rehabilitation strategies you can integrate into your clinical practice right away.

Students must hold a recognised minimum of a Level 3 Massage Diploma and Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology.
If you have no previous experience of Advanced Techniques such as METs, STRs, Trigger Points etc, then we recommend that you attend the Deep Tissue and Advanced Massage Techniques workshop or arrange some 121 tuition first so that you are comfortable with the theory and application before focussing on specific areas. This will enrich your experience on the more focussed days.Â
