In this 2-day Cranial & TMJ Workshop, you will learn a variety of Myofascial and Massage techniques, focusing on the whole of the cranium including the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ).
This workshop will bring a whole new host of skills for you to bring to your clinical practice and help with common conditions such as, TMJ Disorder/Pain, Tinnitus, Tension headaches, Migraines, and more. We will also consider how the cranium and jaw can affect/be affected by other parts of the body, as always, taking a whole body view as much as we can within 2 days! You will be learning a mixture of massage and fascial techniques to achieve the best results for your clients.
All the theory and techniques learnt on this course will be easily integrated into your practice immediately. There will be online theory content to be covered before the practical days which will be available 2 weeks before the course date, so that we are able to focus as much as possible on the practical in class, and linking the theory in when appropriate.
Please note that this course does include Intra-oral/Buccal techniques.
Conditions that affect the head and jaw can often be due to physical trauma such as car accidents or falls, but they can also have a clear link to emotional stress - after all, we now understand that pain and emotion are not separate entities, but rather intertwine and influence each other.
Any pain in the cranium or jaw, particularly chronic pain, can have a significant impact on a person's mental and emotional well-being, from the constant discomfort, difficulty concentrating, anxiety, avoiding triggering activities and so on.
Louise has a particular passion for cranial and Jaw work and is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and experience of this fascinating part of the body - giving you some very gentle and effective tools to take away with you that can often make profound changes to your client's quality of life.
