Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage.

Post-graduate training for qualified therapists. Hot Stone Massage is an immensely popular treatment with its origins dating back over 3000 years, to ancient Asia and more recently to North American Indians. A wonderful form of bodywork, Hot Stone Therapy involves the use of heated basalt stones as part of a therapeutic massage.

You can place the hot stones on the body’s energy lines, therefore enabling balance. The stored heat also allows the muscles to warm deeply before you, the therapist use the round, smooth, heated stones within the palm of your hand to massage the client’s body.

To work with Hot Stones is extremely rewarding; it is relaxing, healing and grounding to both give and receive. Many clients say they experience a profound sense of relaxation. As a result of which repeat bookings are plentiful. You, the therapist, can easily incorporate these technique into your current practice. Using the stones is gentle on your hands and wrists, therefore enabling you, the therapist to work longer and more deeply. In addition the stones enable you to warm muscles in one part of the client’s body while simultaneously massaging another part. Consequently providing a more thorough treatment for your client.

This treatment is hugely popular with clients and therefore an excellent marketing tool to increase your business and ensure repeat bookings.

This course will give you all you need to offer a 60 minute or a 90 minute Hot Stone treatment, which can be incorporated immediately into your practice. Most of all this is a great addition for any therapist wishing to add diversity to their treatment.

Cathy made me feel very welcome, and she encouraged us all to work the way that felt comfortable to us, so that we could integrate our existing skills into the hot stone work. We also learn some great new skills.
